Dr. Marc Seigel recently clarified what was being widely reported by the media concerning alarming increases in COVID-19 cases (40,000 in one day!). The media reported troubling news that the coronavirus was spreading throughout the southern and western parts of the United States. Florida, Texas, California, Arizona, and Utah were experiencing frightening spikes in the number of cases being reported. State leaders were concerned and began curtailing reopening plans. Local governments began threatening to mandate masks and social distancing as Dr. Fauci estimated an epidemic of 100,000 new cases a day could occur. However, Dr. Seigel stated that what was not  being widely reported was the way these numbers were being counted. It was dishonest and it was being politicized.
